It has a mild flavor and pale yellow hue liquor. Due to changing weather patterns, the tea flavor and color profile fluctuate from time to time. It takes on a yellowish color profile in warmer conditions. It also depends on the amount of handcrafted tea prepared. We may give it a greenish color profile if we create it in small quantities. You will notice a very faint bitterness, acidic and sourness like amla, and a sweet aftertaste. You might relate it to the flavor profile of Indian gooseberry. The tea is made from Assam tea cultivars that are native to the region.
Our Assam-style handmade green tea is a distinct form of green tea which is not found in Japan or China. It has a little more body than green teas grown in other parts of the world. A high-quality Assam handmade green tea is characterized by its twisted, whole-leaf tea with silver tips, light green to yellowish green liquid, rich in umami, a note of astringency, and a broad flavor profile with a bitter-sweet lingering aftertaste. The flavor profile of our green tea is region and artisan specific, ranging from fruity, flowery, vegetal, sweet, and earthy. Assam-style handmade green tea processing is weather dependent. Post harvesting, the tea leaves need to be withered, fixed, hand rolled, and dried under the special care and supervision of our tea artisans. Our family farms produce both steamed and pan-fried green tea. In Assam, this tea has grown immensely popular. It is appreciated and enjoyed by people due to its favorable characteristics and high content of antioxidants.
